Please note that applications for our apprenticeships are restricted to residents of the Mansfield and Ashfield districts.

Salary:

Level 2 = 6 months at Apprenticeship rate, followed by National Minimum Wage rate (dependent on age) for the remainder of the Apprenticeship

Level 4 = National Living Wage

2 years Fixed Term Contract

This 2 year fixed term, Level 2 Apprenticeship is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual wanting to develop a career in heavy vehicle maintenance.

You will gain experience in the maintenance and repair of plant machinery and commercial vehicles, undertaking safety inspections, repairs, MOT’s and more.

You will also attend Chesterfield College, one day per week, where you will study the theory and practical aspects of your Level 2 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification.

Mansfield District Council work in partnership with Futures Skills and Advice to deliver this apprenticeship. Upon commencement you will be assigned a placement advisor from Futures to support you throughout the duration of your apprenticeship. You will also receive additional support from a nominated mentor within the Council.
